Teachers were asked to explain the students about the environment, the necessary of trees for instance.
608 students drawed a tree and wrote a slogan for trees.
The teachers came to a meeting about which way to go in the future and how to achieve this goal. Strong peoples met, good discussions followed.
They brought all drawings with them and we could discuss what children wrote.
7 schools from district Gogunda joined and 7 schools just in/ outside the city Udaipur.
All drawings got a hanging cord and all children a prize. Three students from every school a special attention and prize.
Students were asked to hang the drawing at home or outside on a tree so that villagers could see it and discuss this item also.
Some slogans (all in Hindi of course but translated by teachers/ our team).
Primary school slogans:
- give the tree water and fruit will come
- without trees were will live the birds/ monkey’s…
- a tree is as a God, you can pray to him
- trees give you life by air
- tree is our body guard
- if there is a tree happiness is here
Secondary school students:
- grow more trees and get more oxygen
- learn to give like trees…..
- trees give us shadow, fruits, wood and so many other things
- not cut the tree, don’t stop the greenness
- save water, save energy, teach every one and grow trees
It was a good program!
Next item will be WATER.
I would like to thank the teachers for their cooperation to teach the students to pay attention to the environment by this tree drawing but also by planting many trees near the schools.
